2019 marks my fourth Mother's Day. The years keep on flying by. This year we kicked off the day by participating in the Sport Chek Mother's Day 5k walk. I'm hoping in the years to come we can run it together as a family, but for now, walking is just fine.
It was an absolutely beautiful day! Sunny and warm and pleasant. The girls were snuggled into their chariot, and hydrating before the race.
Don't let the serenity of this photo fool you. Lacey stayed in the chariot for approximately 100 meters, and then refused to ride in the chariot or walk. So Tom ended up carrying her for 4.9km (can we say Super-Dad, anyone!?)
Ashley and Andrew walked with us, as they were celebrating Ashley's first Mother's Day with baby Zoe. Zoe and Scarlett both slept for most of the walk!
Following the Mother's Day walk, we went for brunch with grandma and grandpa. A special thanks to grandma, who made her own meal to help us all celebrate!
Happy Mother's Day to all those moms out there. I didn't appreciate all that you do, until I became a mom myself. You are all the best and hardest working people in our lives!
